I've just been chatting to a great friend of mine and during the conversation we covered all sorts of things.  It was a bit of a general catch-up to see how we both were and, in usual form, we got talking about some relatively deep topics and then we got to the topic of balance

We both, as do many of our friends, and in fact a large majority of people I know, talk of searching for balance and suggest, through what we say that is an elusive, out there, thing

This got me thinking, what is balance?  really, what is it?  what do we say when we use the word balance?  what do I mean when I say I want balance in my life?

This morning I received a fabulous message in my in-box from a blogger I have been following for some time.  She regularly shares inspiring, fun, quirky and simply awesome lists of different things as suggestions to help you in your life, your business or your career

Reading over her current list, which was focused on making 2012 your best year and having repeated my Seal Your Success webinar again last night, I felt inspired to share some ways for you to be more innovative in your effortless efforts to be a success, empower your visions and transform your life.  So..... drum roll please..... here are my 12 ways to be more innovative in your efforts to be effortlessly successful

_Yesterday I read my daily Thought For Today message and felt so inspired to write something about this topic because it's such a great reminder on our journey to success, particularly if we want that journey to be exciting, eventful, full of achievement, but also very effortless

The message said;

"The Value of Flexibility - It is easy to fall into habits of ways of doing something. Sometimes these routines are helpful. But at other times they stop us seeing that there may be a better way of doing things. To achieve constant success we need to become flexible"

So you guessed it, your Innovation Challenge for today is going to ask you to take that stretching you did last week a step further to embrace your flexible self!

The Innovation Challenge question is;

What are you not currently happy with (in your life, business, career) and what are you doing that is restricting you, holding you back or preventing you from the creating happiness (or anything else) you seek?

When was the last time that you thought about why you do what you do?  Whether you are a woman in business, have a job working for someone else or are a woman exploring and playing with her creative side you have a WHY behind everything you do

If I were to ask you now why you do what it is you do what would your answer be?  Do you know why you strive to achieve the goals you set?  Why you focus on and take action to move yourself toward greater happiness, more personal freedom, abundant prosperity?  There is a reason and that reason, the big WHY is an important one for you to be really clear on if you are going to reach the outcomes you seek for your life (and business)

Do you have a clear description of what your vision for your life is?  If so when did you last review it and check in to see it is still aligned to your current 'vision'?  If not then why not?

To kick start the month long Innovation Challenge I invite you to get creative by defining your vision.  Now you can go ahead and create a vision board or vision book if you like.  I personally love them and am so behind the power of images but I also believe that you need to add words to those images to give them a powerful boost

So I'd like you to either get out your written or picture version of your vision for your future and see what's relevant and then bring it up to date.  Make it more exciting, more inviting, more energising any way you like.  Remember we are all about innovation this month and a big part of being innovative is seeing things differently, opening your mind and your eyes wider and letting the magic of Creative Possibility flow to you freely and easily

Go on, get defining!  Here's an awesome reflection question a friend shared with me recently that might just help the process...

"It is now the day of your 85th birthday and you are about to celebrate with a great big party with people coming from all over the place to honour and celebrate your life.  Who would be there and what would they have to share about you?  your accomplishments, what sort of person you are, how you have inspired them?"

Define, using as much detail as possible what that looks, feels and sounds like.  Then you will have a clearly defined vision.  Dare to be amazing!

Well 2012 is finally here and it's about time.  It wasn't kicked off with the big exciting start that I had hoped but it is a new year and that means opportunity.  Farewell 2011, I am pleased to see you gone.  We had some great times but there was a lot of sorrow and things that needed to be released

Welcome 2012, it's great to be here, at this time now!  I look forward to lots of wonderful experiences as I reconnect and share my self, grow my business and inspire and empower my visions and live my dreams in a way like never before.  A great big, succulent, effortless success filled way

To get started I've joined the Ultimate Blog Challenge and committed to writing 31 new posts in the month of January.  So what that means for you is that over the next few weeks I will be sharing lots more juicy 'stuff' to empower your visions and transform your life than usual.  I will be writing about personal leadership, empowerment and of course effortless success for your life, business or your career in a bright new way.  I hope to inject your month with lots of colour, fun, innovation and more to help you to empower your visions and live your dreams

You see dreams aren't just for keeping to yourself.  They aren't just for reflecting on and for getting excited about.  They are for living and I am going to live mine in a whole new way this year, leading by example so that you can do the same.  So if you have ever wanted to write a book, start a business, speak at a conference, partner with someone for a joint venture, get a new job, manifest abundance and prosperity doing something you love (really, really love) then this journey is one we can take together

I'm going to share 31 Innovation Challenges over the coming weeks - roughly one a day.  Each will be filled with inspiration and an action you can take to stretch yourself, boost your creativity, inspire yourself and others and create innovation in all areas of your life

I started my day with a very early appearance on The Difference Radio show and had such a fabulous time talking with the co-hosts Robyn and Debi, amazing, inspiring women who are also Difference Collaborators

This was really the first time I got to share my passion for personal leadership and empowerment in a such a way that I know I was completely walking my talk and being in the space of my core genius.  I was completely connected to the Visionary Creator that I am and therefore I was in my Effortless Success zone.  Everything flowed freely, easily and created a great sense of energy and momentum!

At the end of the show Robyn and Debi gifted me with some very powerful reflections that they had from our time together that I just had to capture and share with you all

First up Debi had 2 specific Take Aways: 

1.  Wisdom is to stand empowered in service, not servitude
2.  Expressing my gifts and strengths everyday is to live from my authentic empowered self

and a Challenge for everyone to take up which was to ask something I ask myself each and every day: 

"How am I going to show up as the leader in my life today?"

Robyn then shared the following beautiful affirmation based on our conversation:

"I am stand strong in my personal power and lead myself and others from my purpose and creative space
I trust myself and put my energy into my vision for my self and my world
I am the creator of my life and the visionary of my life
I am filled with possibilities and the conviction to see them manifest into reality

Creative Flow and teaching women like you to create more flow in their lives is one of my great passions.  Just this morning I was interviewed by Becky McCleery, host of the Healing Superwoman Syndrome Virtual Retreat on this very topic.  It's so dear to my heart because it's a great way for us to be able to actively be the leader in our lives, which as you may have heard me say before, is the ultimate in empowerment and empowerment is the key to living your visionary life rather than it just staying a vision

I have to tell you that the reason I'm writing this article today is that I have a real sense of sadness

Why do I feel sad? 

I feel sad because I meet, coach, teach and work with many women entrepreneurs, women in the corporate and business world in many differrent roles, women from all walks of life, women who continue to feel stuck, trapped and overwhelmed by the situations they find themselves in, the challenges they experience and issues they face

Why do I think this is happening?  I feel it's because they're not fully embracing their inner leader and letting her partner with the visionary parts of themselves to step up and be the empowered women they deserve to be

Can you do something for me?  can you take a moment to answer this question;

"What are you missing out on right now, at this very moment in time, because you're giving your power away?"

Now a friend of mine recently said... "but don't you have to have the power in the first place in order for it to be given or taken away?" and yes I agree you do.  What I also believe is that each and every one of us enters this world with an innate personal power.  I'm not going to go into what might happen to that power that leads us to become dis-empowered or for us to lose our power

More importantly I want you to know that you do have an inner, innate personal power and one of the first steps to claiming and expressing that is to reach out and connect with others to listen and learn and then with that new or remembered knowing to take action and implement, transform and reap the rewards as you prosper in any way you dream of.  Now the 'vision' I see and feel of a world filled with women doing that makes me feel a whole lot happier!

I know you've got a big dream for yourself.  It's not too late to make it a reality.  Build a healthy relationship with your inner leader.  Let her work collaboratively with the visionary in you and go out there are claim what's rightfully yours!
